Fenner Dunlop service partner, Total Belting, based in The Netherlands, were working with a customer that was experiencing rapid wear problems on two short (8.65 meter X 0800 mm wide) but critical, fast-running conveyors carrying construction and demolition waste. Their customer had been using 400/3 4+2 abrasion resistant belts produced in China supplied by a Dutch dealer/service company. The belts on each of the two conveyors were being replaced four times per year. During the 12 months immediately preceding the fitting of Fenner Dunlop EP400/3 4+2 RA (DIN Y) belts, these are the costs that were being incurred:

Total price conveyor belt: € 1.150 X 8 belts = €9,200.
Fitting cost: € 800 X 8 = €6,400.
